The concepts of efficiency and effectiveness of policies, measures, and tools to control and solve environmental problems. Environmental risk assessment. Economic valuation and environmental impact assessment of development projects. Concept of environmental justice. Issues related to international environmental cooperation and agreements, including the effects on trade and investment.
