B.E. Student Places Second in HSBC Thailand Business Case Competition 2014 - The Challenger
On March 30, a fourth year B. E. student, Ms. Thitaporn Sakulrompochai, and three BBA students, Ms.Vandhana Harnvarakiat, Mr. Weerawit Pipatwongkasem, and Mr.Watcharapon Chiamsatchamongkol were first runner up in the HSBC Business Case Competition –The Challenger
The demanding 150 minute competition was organized by HSBC and BBA Thammasat. Judges were associated with Colgate Palmolive, HSBC, Baker & McKenzie, and other companies. Only a dozen teams out of 66 entrants teams continued to the semi-final round. They each came from different universities, including Chulalongkorn. All twelve teams participated in a training workshop at the Four Seasons Hotel one day before the semi-final.
For the semi-final, the teams were given a case to work on for 150 minutes and had to present immediate results. Four teams were selected to continue to the finals. For the finals, they were given another case to work on for 150 minutes and presented it to the judges in the auditorium.
