Mr. Suchawut Thamvoraphal, a student in the B.E. Program, has won the 2012 Public Debt Management Quiz Competition organized by the Public Debt Management Office of Thailand (PDMO).
The 2012 Public Debt Management Quiz Competition was held on 24 October 2012 at the Thai Ministry of Finance. Contestants were bachelor’s degree candidates from eleven universities, including Chulalongkorn, Thammasat, Bangkok, Kasetsart, Rungsit, Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, Prince of Songkla, Assumption and Mahidol Universities as well as the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce. The competition consisted of qualifying and final rounds. The first was a written exam. Contestants answered three questions. The six contestants with the highest scores continued to the final round. These contestants had to randomly choose a question and reply to the judges, all administrators of the PDMO. Each contestant had two minutes to prepare before responding.
When the judges announced the results. Mr. Suchawut Thamvoraphal from the B.E. International Program was the winner. He received a trophy, 30,000 baht in cash, and a new iPad.
