B.E. Students Win 2014 Petch Yod Mongkut Economics Competition

The Petch Yod Mongkut Economics Competition was established by the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and the Romchatra Foundation in partnership with government institutions and private companies. Monetary awards, prizes, and tuition assistance will be distributed as well as the Maha Vajiralongkorn, Crown Prince of Thailand trophy at Chulalongkorn University on November 26, 2014.

Of the 163 teams containing 489 students from 38 universities, the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, received four awards this year:

 

Gold medal for the Flying Piglet team:

  1. Miss Kantheera Tipkanjanarat
  2. Miss Sirikorn Puangjit
  3. Miss Thitiporn Siricururatana

 

Silver medal for the Oap Ipt Up team:

  1. Mr. Pattarapon Piyarojnanukool
  2. Miss Sirin Tangpornpaiboon
  3. Miss Peechana Lertritdacha

 

Honorable mention for the JIB team:

  1. Miss Pichaya Patamatamkul
  2. Mr. Tanat Anutrakulchai
  3. Miss Pimnipa Chunhatakij

 

Honorable mention for the YhomYhim team:

The Petch Yod Mongkut competition in economics was created to develop knowledge and ability in economics among undergraduates who will develop Thailand’s future. Knowledge of economics relates directly to daily life and employment in today’s ever-changing global developments.

The winners received the Maha Vajiralongkorn, Crown Prince of Thailand trophy, a gold medal, a scholarship for 30,000 baht, a certificate, educational media from the SET and a scholarship for overseas study.
