The Petch Yod Mongkut Economics Competition was established by the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and the Romchatra Foundation in partnership with government institutions and private companies. Monetary awards, prizes, and tuition assistance will be distributed as well as the Maha Vajiralongkorn, Crown Prince of Thailand trophy at Chulalongkorn University on October 11, 2015.

Of the 181 teams containing 543 students from 52 universities, the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, received three awards this year:

 

Bronze Medal for the A team:

  1. Mr. Sahaphon Vairungroj
  2. Miss Pimnipa Booasang
  3. Miss Prawrawee Nakmai

 

Honorable mention for the PPJ team:

  1. Mr. Chanukorn Sawasdee
  2. Mr. Jirawat Wongloon
  3. Miss Panthip Apai

 

Honorable mention for the TNT team:

  1. Mr. Tassanapol Sa-ngumram
  2. Mr. Pitsanupol Sunanand
  3. Mr. Doldej Schuett

 

The Petch Yod Mongkut competition in economics was created to develop knowledge and ability in economics among undergraduates who will develop Thailand’s future. Knowledge of economics relates directly to daily life and employment in today’s ever-changing global developments.

The Bronze medal winners received honor trophy, a bronze medal, a scholarship for 15,000 baht, a certificate and educational media from the SET.
