B.E. Thammasat Team Placed Second-Runner Up in the CFA Institute Research Challenge 2016

The CFA Institute Research Challenge is a competition between university-sponsored teams that research a designated publicly traded company, write a research report highlighted by a buy, sell, or hold recommendation; and then present and defend their findings to a panel of industry experts. This year, the CFA Research Challenge in Thailand accommodated 25 teams from different universities across the country taking the role of equity analysts in analyzing Thai Union PCL. (TU), leading global seafood company. From the written report submission, selected 4 teams then advanced to the panel presentation, competing to represent CFA Society of Thailand in the regional and global round in Prague, Czech Republic.

At this year, B.E. team participated for the first time in CFA Institute Research Challenge 2016 and were announced as the finalists of the Research challenge. After the intensive preparation and highly competitive challenge, B.E. team was finally placed Second Runner-up Award in the CFA Institute Research Challenge 2016, receiving 10,000 baht and award certificate.
