B.E. Thammasat Team Placed Second-Runner Up in the CFA Institute Research Challenge 2018-2019

The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual, global competition that provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis. Students work in teams to research and analyze a publicly traded company and then write a research report on their assigned company with a buy, sell, or hold recommendation. Each team will then present and defend their findings to a panel of industry experts.

This year, the CFA Research Challenge in Thailand accommodated 17 teams from 10 different universities across the country taking the role of equity analysts in analyzing Bangkok Dusit Medical Services PCL (BDMS), leading regional integrated hospital network. From the written report submission and presentation over the past five months, 5 teams were selected to advanced to the final panel presentation, competing to represent CFA Society of Thailand in the regional in Sydney, Australia and the global round in New York City, USA.

This year, the B.E. team which participated in the CFA Institute Research Challenge 2018-2019 were announced as the finalists of the Research challenge. After the intensive preparation and highly competitive challenge, B.E. team received the 2nd Runner-up award.

The team representing the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, consists of the following students:
