The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited (PCL), PTT (formerly Petroleum Authority of Thailand) PCL, Kasikorn Bank PCL, and other associations organized the 17th annual Young Financial Star (YFS) 2019 Competition, seeking the most competent young financiers among Thai university students. By the finals on 4th August 2019, students who qualified among the top 60 had received an intensive theoretical and practical financial course from national experts. Later, each student had to solve financial cases and compete for the championship.
This year, a student from the Bachelor of Economics (BE) International Program, Thammasat University, was among winners of the YFS 2019 Competition. In the PTT Star team competition category, Mr. Suwat Saeung, a 4th year B.E. student on a team of five students from different universities, placed second, receiving a 4,000 baht prize as well as CISA scholarships for being among the top 60 students.
